Golden rule #1 of English Language: Every English sentence has a verb!
Golden rule #2 of English Language: Every English sentence starts with a Subject followed by a Verb.
Golden rule #3 of English Language: A sentence is a group of words that has a complete thought, meaning or idea.
Golden rule #4 of English Language: A sentence always starts with a capital letter and ends with an ending mark.
Golden rule #5 of English Language: A Subject tells who or what the sentence is about.
Golden rule #6 of English Language: the Verb is an action word that tells what someone or something does.
Golden rule #7 of English Language: A noun names a person, animal, place or a thing.
Golden rule #8 of English Language: An exact noun tells more a noun. E.g. The animal (noun) eats. The dog (exact noun) eats.
Golden rule #11 of English Language: A noun can name one or more than one. Add -s to most nouns to name more than one.
Golden rule #13 of English Language: A verb tells what someone or something does. E.g. dig, plant, eat.
Golden rule #14 of English Language: Add -s to most verbs to tell about one person, place or a thing. E.g One bird stops.
Golden rule #15 of English Language: The words (am, is, are) are verbs called (to-be) They tell about now. E.g. I am six. Kip is little.
Golden rule #16: Use AM to tell about yourself. Use IS to tell about one person, thing, place. Use ARE to tell about more than one.
Golden rule #17: Some words tell where something takes place; up / down / by / near / at / under. We call them preposition of place.
Golden rule #18: Opposites are words that describe things that are different from each other: Short / Long.
Golden rule #19: A verb, or an action word, can tell about something that happened in the Past. Last week, I pulled my tooth.
Golden rule #20: Add -ed to some verbs to tell about something that happened in the past. E.g. I walk-ed today.
Golden rule #21: Some words tell when an action takes place. E.g. Yesterday I walked. Today, I will take the bus. These words are Adverbs.
Adverb of time; sho time are, but not limited to, Yesterday, now, today, later, then.
