1️⃣➡️ More Training Time = Better Results
Today’s performance against Liverpool showcased clear signs of improvement under Ruben Amorim. Here’s why:
Intent & StructureAmorim's tactical philosophy is beginning to take shape. The team looked more organized in possession and disciplined in defense, handling Liverpool’s relentless pressure better than in previous games.
Progress Despite Limited ProfilesAmorim’s system demands players with specific skill sets—technical ability, tactical flexibility, and physicality. While this squad still lacks several key profiles, the players are adapting, and Amorim is squeezing the most out of what he has.
Clear IdentityUnited didn’t just defend well—they attacked with intent, creating two clear chances in the first half. The team is starting to reflect Amorim's aggressive, high-energy style.
The signs are there, and with more time and the right signings, this rebuild has serious potential. Amorim deserves credit for laying the groundwork in such a short and intense period. Patience will pay off! 🙌 #MUFC #MUNLIV

2️⃣➡️ Højlund Has to Finish That Chance!
How many times, man? Rasmus Højlund had a golden opportunity to put United ahead, and yet again, we’re left wondering what could have been. Here’s why this is becoming a serious concern:
Wasted Opportunities:
Højlund’s physicality and movement are promising, but the finishing touch is sorely lacking. Today’s miss in a high-stakes game against Liverpool is the kind of moment that separates good strikers from great ones.
The Killer Instinct:
This team desperately needs a killer striker who can convert those big chances consistently. A reliable goal-scorer can turn a draw into a win or salvage points from a loss—something United has missed this season.
Osimhen & Gyökeres Links:
The rumors linking United with elite strikers like Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyökeres aren’t going away, and for good reason. Both players possess the clinical edge that could transform United’s attack.
What Højlund Brings:
He’s young, he’s raw, and he has potential, but patience only goes so far when the team is crying out for goals. It’s clear he needs competition or someone to learn from to take his game to the next level.
If United want to truly compete at the highest level, they need a striker who finishes those chances. Is Højlund the long-term answer? Maybe. But for now, the club must explore their options. #MUFC #MUNLIV

3️⃣➡️ Mainoo — Ugarte — Bruno! DOMINATED THE MIDFIELD! 🧱🔥
Let’s start by giving Kobbie Mainoo his flowers! 🌟 The young midfielder showed why he’s so highly rated—moments of brilliance, composure beyond his years, and flashes of his massive potential. We need to nurture and develop this guy carefully—he’s one for the future! 🙌
➡️ Complementary Roles: Amorim’s new role for Bruno perfectly complements Ugarte’s relentless energy and ball-winning abilities. Bruno brings calmness and creativity to the midfield, linking defense to attack seamlessly, while Ugarte does the dirty work and shields the backline.
➡️ Unreal Work Rate:
Together, they won 26 duels and made 13 tackles against Liverpool. Ugarte was everywhere, breaking up play and initiating counters together with Mainoo, while Bruno was the steady hand in possession, dictating the tempo.
➡️ Bruno’s Evolution: What has Amorim done to Bruno? He looks much calmer, more calculated, and composed. Today, he was instrumental in driving the team forward while keeping things under control in critical moments. This is the kind of leadership we need.
Bruno, Mainoo & Ugarte showed today what a balanced midfield can look like and it’s clear that Ruben Amorim has worked will all of them during the week. I can’t see Casemiro or Eriksen starting the games ahed of them anymore, it looks like Amorim has found his midfield partners.
Let’s build on this confidence and keep pushing forward! 🔴⚪ #MUFC

4️⃣➡️ GREAT SUBSTITUTES FROM AMORIM AGAIN!
Now we have learned that Amorim knows how to make impactful subs at the right time of each game, and he did that again today.
The moment we conceded the second goal Amorim got Mainoo out who was tired till that moment as he is not yet 100% and put on Garnacho looking more offensive with Bruno stepping on Mainoo’s role. Garnacho was full of energy and he was the one who created the second goal with his assist.
After we scored the Liverpool pressure was high and Amorim saw that De Ligt was tired and replaced him with Yoro who couple of seconds after did a massive tackle to save us the one point.
With Zirkzee sub he almost made us win the game in the last seconds of the game if Maguire was better with his shot and keept it on target.
What I’m saying is that no matter the game, Amorim subs are spot on every game. #MUFC

5️⃣➡️Defence Solid! 🛡️🔥
Manchester United’s defensive performance today was a massive improvement, with contributions from everyone across the backline. While there’s still room for improvement, we showed grit, resilience, and tactical discipline. Also we saw a much improved Onana especially from corners and the whole team together defending set-pieces. Here’s how each defender fared:
➡️ Harry Maguire - Leadership on Display
Maguire was immense, organizing the backline and making crucial interventions. His calmness in possession and aerial dominance stood out. Say what you will, but Maguire is stepping up under Amorim.
➡️ Matthijs de Ligt - Decent but Room to Improve
De Ligt showed solid moments during the game but made a misstep by going to the ground for Liverpool's first goal. The penalty, however, was entirely on the referee and not his responsibility. Looking ahead, Mazraoui could be a more natural fit at RCB, with de Ligt potentially excelling in a rotational role as the central defender.
➡️ Lisandro Martínez - Goal and Grit
Lisandro scored a fantastic goal and had a decent overall performance. His aggression and technical skills were evident, though he still struggles against more physical opponents in the air.
➡️ Diogo Dalot - Tactical Masterclass
Dalot followed Amorim’s tactical plan to perfection, targeting Trent Alexander-Arnold’s defensive weaknesses and capitalizing on Salah’s reluctance to track back. He was effective going forward and dependable at the back.
➡️ Yorro - What a Cameo!
Yorro came off the bench and immediately made an impact. That tackle to stop a dangerous Liverpool attack was sensational, and he even contributed in build-up play. A promising display from the youngster.
This defensive showing proves we’re heading in the right direction under Amorim. Let’s keep this momentum! 🔴⚪ #MUFC
