✨Enfold pavilion, designed by DEOND ™—co-founded by @RossLovegroveX and Ila Colombo, presented at Dubai Design Week between 5-10 November 2024, exemplifies a fusion of biomorphic design principles and advanced computational techniques, embodying a holistic approach to spatial design. Constructed from 945 hand-folded cardboard trapezoidal modules, the pavilion showcases an intriguing use of cardboard as its core material.

Each trapezoid was crafted to create an engaging tactile experience, transforming a humble material into a robust, artfully engineered structure. Designed to emphasize natural light and atmospheric depth, the parametric skin interacts dynamically with daylight, casting intricate shadows and creating a rhythm of illuminated patterns across the interior. This nuanced daylight choreography, achieved through computational modeling, enhances the pavilion’s ambiance, inviting visitors to experience the subtle transitions of light and shadow throughout the day.
