History in a nutshell:
Imagine that the symbol of a cult is an electric chair or a hanging rope or any other torture device that is used by an imperial state to murder the founder of the cult and its early members.
Imagine that the cult members all gather together, eat a piece of bread and drink wine every Sunday, considering it to be the body of an executed criminal and the blood of an executed criminal, respectively, who founded the cult.
Imagine that the cult members invent a sophisticated philosophy called trans- substantiation to justify how the body and blood of the cult's founder transforms into the bread and wine at your Sunday weekly Feast with fellow cult members.
Imagine the cult members saying that the death of its founder was human sacrifice for the sins of everyone and humanity can be saved only by joining this cult and partaking in this human sacrifice.
Imagine that this cult members think that the murder of their founder was the reference point in the history of humanity and modify the entire history of the world to have it predict the coming of this moment of human sacrifice.
Imagine that members of the cult touch and venerate the bones, hairs, and dead relics of bodies of former cult members who were murdered.
Imagine that the cult is outcast, and rejected by its own community, within which it was founded, in the Middle East. So, it goes to all other communities to recruit members.
Imagine that these cult members eventually came to torturing and burning their own members for disagreeing with them about the nature of their founder, his mother, or his early followers. Also, of course, burning the people who want to leave that cult.
Also, imagine that this cult, after 300 years of its founding, recruits the king of the imperial state that killed its own founder and uses the state apparatus of the state that killed the cult's founder to convert everyone inside and outside the state to its fold.
Imagine that this madness cult spreads so much that after a thousand years, there is nobody outside this cult in many continents except IRONICALLY, the community from which the cult's founder was from and which rejected it (Judaism). And imagine that these cultists hate the community to which their founder belonged to, for rejecting their founder's cult as a legitimate religious sect of the community.
Imagine that because this cult has become a norm in many continents, it is called CULT-URE, and non members, of this cult are considered weird occultists who do bizarre rituals.
Imagine that for 2000 years, the cult members have been saying to members that their founder will come back soon and wait for the Second Coming very faithfully.
What would the world have looked like if such a delusional cult had not existed?
