A few non-Hindupat Padshahi Bhonsales (of Sawantwadi et al) also inflicted heavy defeats on the Portuguese in combat:

Mostly these were open field, hand to hand fights.
Regarding entrenchments, Balaji Haibatrao's entrenchment at Shirwal is described as not having serious moats (Parikha) in Shri Suryavansham Shivabharata of Paramanand describing the Siege of Shirwal.
Even Sapper work is described aside from (having ramps to) leap over the wall.
