"M*ixed Origins Of Brhmans"
>From the great Kshatriya King Puru, sprang four different Brahman families - Gargya, Sainya, Kanvayana and Maudgalya.

Further we have two sons of Vaishya Nabhagrahishtha who became Brahmans and created brhman Kul.

Great Brahman sage Vashishtha was also said to have been born from a Ganika. If scholars are to be believed, it indicates low origin.

Vyasa and Parashara similarly were two Brhmans who “originally not twice-born” as per the Mahabharat. Both of them were fisherman and c*andal respectively.

These are not isolated cases but a Brhman tradition where children born out of ßhμdra women were married to Brhmans. Scholars rightly point out that ßhμdra blood flows through Brhman veins.
It can be seen happening inthe Medieval times too.

In "Wilkins Indian Castes Vol II" that there are many Abhiras brhmans in Maharashtra and Khandesh, who scholars believe, originated from Abhiras. Similarly we find Gurjar Gaud Brahmans who, as per the scholars most revered by trad ¶ongq Jis, indicate...

Gujjars also became brhmans and created kul. Karhade Brhmans of Maharashtra were originally Gujjrs, as pointed out by scholars.

And lastly we have the infamous case of Mishra Brhmans originating from Kshatriya Mayur. Later the Brhmans, out of shame, created stories calling Mayur a Brahman, but as we see, the tradition of Kshatriya father and Brahman mother is well established.

From the great Kshatriya sage Vishwamitrā, sprang the Kaushik Brahmns and from Kshatriya Ajamidha, sprang Kanvayana Bramans. Similarly Kshatriya Puramidha also created a brahmn kuls.
