Thread 1/8:
I listened in on a space held to honor @Som_CAA Director @Amoallinh and oh boy, did the man beat his own drum and 500 people in that space who were mostly clueless about civil aviation matters listened as he told one lie after another.👇🏽

With no one to ask intelligent question, he handled the dumb crowd and their equally dumb questions like a pro, even gloating at times in his answers.
The biggest lie he kept repeating—#Somalia Airspace has a class A certification which truthfully it doesn’t. 👇🏽

Having a class A for only overflying flights and bragging about it, is just ridiculous.
It is similar to passengers on a plane bragging about having physicality visited all the countries they flew over.👇🏽

Other lies he told include Mogadishu controls all their airspace.
Currently Mogadishu controls only 200 nautical miles. The rest of that airspace is controlled by Hargeysa. 👇🏽

This is the main reason #Somalia Civil Aviation keep postponing the ICAO audit which was scheduled for July this year hoping to resolve this issue when and if a more amiable govt comes to power in #Somaliland. 👇🏽
Finally his claim revenue generated from #Somalia airspace is $30m per year is a lie.
Following the airspace tussle b/w SL & Mogadishu, Ethiopian Airlines, largest carrier with most flights over the airspace have rerouted most of their flights, avoiding it for safety concerns.
