To reiterate - oxygen is being produced at the bottom of the Pacific by polymetallic nodules, in a mechanism completely separate from sunlight and photosynthesis.
I've written about these nodules before, because they are becoming a coveted resource, large amounts of manganese and other metals lying at the bottom of the sea. Many companies are rushing to harvest them, despite the ecosystem damage that would entail.
