Toxic food & sedentary life in North America & urban India causes obesity & related diseases
We all know about coke, candy & chips being bad but you’ll be shocked how junk is masked in regular everyday eatables
Don’t miss this thread if value your health & want practical tips
Seed oils - This one is a killer that hardly anyone is aware
Did you know that till few decades ago vegetable oils that today is commonly used in home and restaurant cooking was considered industrial waste?
Sunflower, corn, safflower oil for cooking also found in all packaged food will ensure early death for you
You need to take special effort & replace this with extra virgin olive oil,
avocado oil, organic ghee or beef tallow
Makes world of a difference
Bread - Unknown culprit. Not only is regular wheat and white bread beyond horrible with mostly preservative & sugar but even so called healthy bread will mess your body
My solution - we have started eating strictly home made bread
Ok:
-KBS bread maker in the model mentioned in the pic. $130
Yogurt - most think it’s healthy but it’s not. Even the best on the shelf is full of preservatives. Flavored ones have a ton of added sugar
Solution - make your own at home. We use instant yogurt cooker. But you can also do it grandma style using culture
Eggs - Great source of protein but hens tortured in cages & chemicals creates suboptimal hormone filled eggs
Pay that extra $3 but always buy “pasture raised” eggs. Not just “cage free” as those can be misleading - but “pasture raised”
You’ll feel the difference
Milk - You think it’s healthy but it’s not if you’re drinking regular pasteurized homogenized milk. Worse if it’s not whole
Pay that $4 extra but buy non homogenized and minimally pasteurized milk with cream on top in bottles
That’s the only “healthy” milk
Chicken - Regular chicken is a hub of hormones and industrial torture
It’s anything but healthy
If you want benefits of animal protein you need to buy no antibiotics no hormones free range chicken only
Florida - this one is particularly dangerous. Two big sources are water supply and toothpaste. RO can fix the water supply and there are fluoride free toothpastes available
Try to stick to those
Added sugar - This one is practically in anything that comes in a package or bottle. Literally anything inside a packet including pasta has tons of added sugar for taste and preservation
It’s the root case of all illness
Hence the lesser you eat things from a packet the better
Non organic fruits & veggies - We generally assume fruits & veggies to be healthy but in the last 20 years depleting soil quality and increased pesticides have drained the nutritional value.
Unfortunately it costs more but if you can spare some money for organic it’s best
Alternatively you can grow a lot of these in gardens or indoor pods
Check out this product called Gardyn which has rave reviews and lets you grow basic veggies indoor - fully pesticide free and organic
Farm raised fish - Fish is an awesome source of omega 3 and protein
However eating farm raised fish negates the entire benefit because of too many toxins
If you have to eat fish it needs to be wild caught
Honey - Honey has a lot of health benefits but not the regular honey that you think of when we say “honey”
The honey that is actually healthy is the raw and organic version of it
Peanut butter - The normal peanut butter is full of toxic palm oil & added sugar
This is done to save cost. It’s actually counterproductive if you eat it
You’ll need to find a organic peanut butter with no sugar and no palm oil if you have to eat it
Diet is the bigger factor when it comes to ones to obesity but exercise in any shape or form at least basic movement is necessary especially if job is a desk job and daily life involves only driving my and no walks
You’ll have to consciously insert movement into your routine
The above food habits and lifestyle will work only if they become second nature or you insert it as a part to your routine and not try to think of it as a health chore
And yes the lesser you eat outside or from packets the better you’ll feel
