Every Hindu who thinks you'll automatically survive forever just because your dharma is "sanatan" (timeless) should read this unmissable thread
A brief history of Parsis (Zoroastrians) who once held sway over an area almost as big as India but near extinct today
Learning lesson
1700 BCE: Origins - Zathurashtra (founder and prophet of Parsis) imparts the principles of Zoroastrianism in Central Asia, believed to have occurred between 1700 and 1000 BCE.
550 BCE: Expansion - Cyrus the Great establishes the Achaemenian Empire, promoting Zoroastrianism as its predominant faith, leading to its unprecedented growth and territorial expansion.
330 BCE: Conquest - Alexander the Great defeats the Achaemenids, causing significant damage to the Avesta, the primary Zoroastrian scripture.
247 BCE: Revival - The Parthian Empire, under Arsaces I, revives Zoroastrianism, spreading its influence from Mesopotamia to regions as far as India and China.
224 CE: Zenith - The Sassanian Persian Empire adopts Zoroastrianism as its official religion, while maintaining tolerance towards other faiths like Judaism and Christianity.
651 CE: Islamic Arrival - Arab conquests overthrow the Sassanians, leading to persecution of Zoroastrians, prompting many to flee to India.
Parsis were kind to Islam when they had upper hand but when Islam got upper hand they were immediately exterminated
Lesson for Hindus
721 CE: Sacred Fires - The Atash Bahram, the highest grade of Zoroastrian fire, is ignited in India, marking its significance as the primary center of the faith, with the flame still burning today at the Iranshah temple.
1218 CE: Mongol Invasions - Zoroastrian communities along the Silk Road suffer devastating losses during the Mongol invasions, resulting in their near annihilation.
1979 CE: Islamic Revolution - The Shah of Iran is ousted, leading to the establishment of a strict Islamic regime, prompting many Zoroastrians to seek refuge in Europe and North America.
2024 CE: Present - Zoroastrian communities, mainly concentrated in Mumbai & Gujarat, face dwindling numbers, with scattered populations elsewhere globally
Despite high wealth, high education & disproportionate positive impact on industry & art in India they are barely surviving
So you see just having numbers and territory at one point is not a guarantee of survival. It just takes one or two major catastrophic events to go extinct
Hence Hindus should not only geographically spread outside India for location hedge but contain Hindu conversions in India
