Don’t do raw milk 🥛 please, for the love of god. I know there are many raw milk enthusiasts out there. But just take a pause until this is over? Don’t try to be a macho man about this.

3) try to drink either vegan milks like oat or soy or almond milk, or ultra pasteurized milk.

4) Also protect your cats too. CDC is pretty worried about cats as well, especially if they live on a farm or near farm animals.

5) Dogs 🐕 are also “highly susceptible” to bird flu. And the worry is that because dogs are around humans more, there’s high risk of eventual better virus adaptation to humans.

6) Regarding PPE working on farms, the CDC also warns that children often have poor fitting PPEs. And many kids work on farms. This is a problem that doesn’t have a good solution. We need to protect kids. Especially on farms.

7) I’ve been saying this for a while… “workers spray down milking machines with high-pressure hoses to clean them, which would aerosolize any infected milk”—➡️terrible horrible no good very bad thing for spreading bird flu. nature.com

8) remember that new claim that milk is 100% safe? Well, it’s very preliminary. Still lots more data needed. Scientists need to see much more data to be confident on pasteurization.

9) CDC needs to urgently put out RAW MILK WARNING.
