₹ 35,30,346 Cr (35 lakh crore): The commutative amount has been transferred directly to the valid beneficiary account (DBT).
Had it been the Congress era, 85% i.e. ₹30 lakh crore would have vanished to corrupt mediators.

₹30L Cr is an estimated loss based on former PM Rajiv Gandhi's infamous quote. In other words, this is ~60% of India's today's budget. Imagine the level of corruption, that even the PM confessed, unofficial commission, fake ID beneficiaries, duplicities & other means.
2/
Though DBT was initiated in 2013 (parting MMS govt), it was systematically expanded by the Modi govt.
For the success of DBT, first & foremost need is a bank a/c. Govt launched the massive PM Jan Dhan Yojana, under which 52cr a/c were opened (56% women & 67% in rural/suburb)
3/
Now see how the different ministries were empowered due to the combination of PMJDY & DBT and how they saved millions of funds.
Take a glance at last column 'remarks'.
In total Rs 3.48 lakh crore were saved.
4/
Keep this Rs 3.48 Lakh Crore saving in mind and now check the (interim) budget allocation to different ministries.
This is for a perspective view.
5/
Now for a moment, recall the initial period of Covid-19.
Well-placed DBT became a boon for the underprivileged segment.
During the first 3 weeks of the Covid lockdown, 16 cr beneficiaries received Rs 36k crore directly in their bank accounts. Check out other figures-
6/
The Jan-Dhan, underlying digital payment infrastructure via UPI and phone banking, clubbed together with DBT helped millions of ppl in the immediate relief in turbulent period.
7/
Today if Rahul Gandhi promises to transfer cash takatak-takatak, this is because of his confidence in the DBT & payment infrastructure laid out by Modi govt. Otherwise, he would have transferred Rs 1 lakh to a beneficiary, 85K would have been lost in between.
