Recent problems with oil production was linked with both spills of the South-Sudan --> Port Sudan pipeline and other conflict-related struggles forcing Sudan to call for a 'force majure', basically halting oil transport through its network. 2/x x.com

There are currently plans to build open-air reservoirs to store the crude oil as #SouthSudan is lacking storage capacity. This is a huge enormous environmental risk from flooding and known weak controls and capacity. These spill-over effects of the #Sudan war will hit hard END
