No! It has wide implications with Economic Potential!

🔥Why temples have been the epicentre of Bharatiya civilization for millennia?
Temples not only provided emotional & social support to the ecosystem but also acted as hubs of economic activity. Infact, we can say Temples were Backbone of Sanatan Economics!

Temples were natural choice for conducting fairs, events, and special occasions like Marriages, head-shaving ceremonies, engagement ceremonies etc. Also, most festivals used to be celebrated with great enthusiasm at the temples giving rise to tourism activity.

Temples since ancient times acted as hub of artisans, artists, musicians & dancers where they displayed their art, craft & skills earning name and money, thus enabling entrepreneurial mind.
Temples supported weaker sections of society by providing food & essentials.

Merchants, Businessmen, Professionals and Common people used to donate gold, money & grains voluntarily to temples and during difficult times, temples used to support Society.
Spiritual Pilgrimage were assistive in building a recession-proof & spiritually high economy.

If digged in detail, when 80% of Global Travel was on account of leisure, in Bharat-- 70% to 75% of travel of different classes & creeds used to travel to temples. This was among all sections, whether rich or poor, as श्रद्धा in God was the backbone of Bharatiya Society.

Such Vibrant was Temple Economy of Bharat that, in early 16th century, Bharat contributed 25.1% of World GDP. With subsequent Invasions & British Colonization, Bharat’s GDP contribution to World GDP fell to a mere 1.2% in 1947 when Bharat got independence.
