What is the ruling of what's being done in this video? ↓
I previously explained the different rulings on Raqs (or what's known as the Hadrah) here:
Basically, there are 3 opinions: Harām, Makrūh, or Mubāh
However this time it's different to Hadrah
The clip above is of an old traditional Chechen war dance
And in concept, it is just like Hadrah, and there's a case to be made that it is less controversial
The relevant Hadīth in this scenario is the one below
Abyssinians would practice their war dances in the Masjid of Rasūlullāh ﷺ while saying: Muhammad is a righteous servant
So, as explained before, it would be permissible in the Shāfi‘ī Madhab, and others would be more lenient with it, since the Hadīth was explained by some to be specific to war dances (when they responded to its usage)
Dhikr has always been a powerful weapon in Muslim armies, which were predominantly Sūfī
And this also applies to this video that was making the rounds a while ago
Dhikr incorporated into a traditional dance without anything Harām = Permissible (according to 1 opinion)
You can't object to someone following a different view to yours, let alone mock and ridicule
