Each year on 5th August, Pakistan observes "Youm-e-Istehsal" (Day of Exploitation), during which it not only promotes its anti-India agenda but also disseminates a barrage of unfavorable narratives concerning #Kashmir in an attempt to garner global attention.

On 2nd September 2023 (Death Anniversary of SAS Geelani), propaganda was disseminated by Pakistan based social media handles with the false claim that “shutdown was observed in Kashmir on the death anniversary of SAS Geelani.”

Detention of some “Kashmiri Journalists” is another propaganda tool used by Pakistan.
However the fact is, none of the Kashmiri journalists were booked because they were journalists, only because they were involved in different unlawful and anti-national activities and connected with registered FIRs based on their unlawful activities and work.
