Instead of saying “ooh that fvg worked this is sO cool”
Try this instead:
1- “what would I have done when we reached that fvg?”
2- “where would I have placed my SL/TP?”
3- “what would my honest emotions be as I execute?”

4- “What would my emotions be like from the moment of entry till we reached a trouble area between my entry and my target?”
5- “When would I consider taking a partial?”

6- “When would I consider to abandon the bias? If price closes through which level? Or doesn’t shoot up before what time?
7- “how would I keep the conviction on the journey from the entry to the target?”
8- “ how would I probe price to make sure I don’t let the profit turn into a loss?”
9- “when was the correct time to go breakeven? Too soon? Do I even need to go breakeven in my strategy or just wait till TP?”

There’s a few more pointers, but thats the gist of it.
Don’t Backtest like the 90% who fail, Backtest actively.
And final note; live testing will always beat backtesting all day everyday.
