Gavi - The definition of underrated! 🔥
(A Thread)
Made his debut at the age of 16. Played 34/38 games in his first season. Bossed the midfield against world class opponents.
Extraordinary becomes normal.
Higher expectations. Gavi never went through a talent phase where you expect the player to be inconsistent and make mistakes.
Most players his age get minutes at the end of games. We refer to them as talents. Gavi has from the very beginning been talked about as an established first team player.
In periods where Gavi has adapted to what the team needs, and played in roles where he has struggled to fulfill his potential, he has been met with tons of disrespect.
Gavi remains one of the most underrated players in the world. He is a leader who offers something different - covers a lot of ground, incredible at pressing, and a natural ball winner. Other fans dislike him because he is ruthless.
Gavi is a player who isn’t afraid to shout at Lewandowski. He sets a standard in the locker room. A Barca player by heart.
Still, he is amazing in possession. Extremely press resistant, and is fouled 2.68 times per 90 minutes (top 2% in the top 5 leagues). Gavi is great at turning in small pockets of space, and knows how to score goals.
With his unique stamina, he can turn into the ultimate box to box player. A match winner in both ends. Can finish with both his feet. In fact, 66% of his goals have been scored with the left foot.
Gavi is everywhere. Gavi is everything. Don’t let the disrespect define him.
