When Felix, Lewandowski & Ferran started, many assumed we switched to a 4-3-3. However, that’s false. We continued building on the same system, but with different profiles. Joao Felix transformed our left side completely through his creativity & imagination.

Barca started a very strong team, but also had players like Gündogan, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Inigo Martinez on the bench. Pedri & Araújo out injured. The squad we have built is incredible. Strong in terms of quality + depth.

Pay attention to Joao Felix. How he creates space for himself to receive a pass by moving in the opposite direction. Look how often he scans the pitch, and how quickly the information is processed. Our second goal reflects it. Outstanding.

Lewandowski seemed to be back to his very best. Far more decisive on the ball, and ran faster. The introduction of Felix benefited him.

👀 Cancelo’s role
A true pleasure watching him when Barca attack. He takes many great initiatives, and his pass selection is always spot on. Carries the ball forward, dribbles, inverts into the midfield. Extremely difficult to defend.

🔥 What we have been MISSING
Transitions is a powerful tool in football. Barca have struggled to take advantage of it, but yesterday was way different. Joao Felix’s positioning started the counter attacks as he found pockets of space, while Lewandowski & Ferran ran forward.

A game which exceeded my expectations by a lot. We outperformed our xG by 100%, but the performance was sustainable. We deserved to win, and we did so with style.
