Frenkie recovered the ball more times than any other Barca player (11). On top of that, Frenkie had the most shot creating actions, and he hit the pass which lead to the penalty. He was everywhere.
A lot of the reason why Frenkie thrives is the system Xavi uses, which gives him more freedom than he would have if we played with three midfielders.
Oriol Romeu continues to be immense. 8 progressive passes (more than any other Barca player). Positions himself correctly to win the ball back, and uses his physicality to his advantage. The pass to Lamine Yamal (low + tons of power) was exquisite.
Cancelo showed why Xavi was desperate to get him. The switch he made with his left foot to escape Osasuna’s pressure is a pass few others will hit. We also saw an astonishing cross using the outside of his foot, which should have been converted into a goal.
Kounde keeps on proving why he has to play as a centre back. A high risk - high reward defender, although he hardly makes any mistakes, despite taking chances & being brave.
