With Cancelo, Barca finally get a right back at the highest level, who has played under Pep Guardiola. Why is that so important?
He is used to positional football & a possession based style if playing. Build from the back, create numerical advantages and so on.

Cancelo will play as a right back, where he can invert into the midfield in buildups, look for runners from the deep (Raphinha), challenge 1v1, and support the winger by over/underlapping runs.
Our right side will offer a whole new threat. The deliveries from Raphinha & Cancelo will be a danger to any team. In particular Cancelo’s ability to hit crosses from the right half space. We haven’t had a fullback with such passing since Dani Alves.
Cancelo is a transformative signing for Barca. A profile the team has been missing. It also marks the new era for Araújo & Kounde, who will be our centre backs. Araújo’s physicality will be key as cover for Cancelo.

Joao Felix has all the tools needed to succeed, but he needs to learn how to use them in Barca’s team. Coming from Atletico, he is used to a far different way of playing. However, Xavi will teach him, but it might take a little longer for him to adapt.
I do believe Joao Felix has what it takes to add another dimension to our attack.

It’s better to talk about role than position. Joao Felix’s versatility holds a high value. His profile would benefit Balde & Lewandowski. He can stretch the opponents by holding the width on the left side, then come inside when Balde overlaps.
Felix is comfortable at finding pockets of space between the lines. Will support Lewandowski with great passes & movements in and around the box.
Felix will play on the left side, whether it’s a 4-3-3 or him being the fourth midfielder in a 3-2-2-3.

Cancelo & Raphinha can put in world class crosses, while Lewandowski and Felix make runs. Felix has the potential to make Barca’s left side less static by his rotational movements.
Cancelo should start against Osasuna, while I would let Felix come on from the bench.
