Analysis of the situation in Omdurman, given confusing recent fighting.

Green = SAF, Red = RSF
I've mentioned before that there were large territories in Omdurman the RSF simply abandoned and retreated from. I believe, given the strong increase of RSF troop presence recorded near Shambat bridge right after, that this was a defensive troop rotation.
The RSF also barricaded the Eastern side of Shambat bridge with containers at that time, which would make sense if they thought losing the Western side was a possibility.
The SAF have also engaged in fights and skirmishes in the NW of the RSF positions around Magicland Park, with the RSF falling back after a few confrontations.
These points lead me to believe the RSF were probably anticipating a SAF attack on Shambat Bridge from the North, and have likely built defenses towards this direction, just as the SAF have been visibly doing on their side as well.
However, the SAF attacked from the South instead, completely avoiding all RSF preparations, and quickly took Al Hashmab. They are now only 500m away from the TV and Radio HQs.
I was informed prior to this by an insider in the SAF of coming operations in this part of Omdurman, and this is likely what they were referring to. I think the SAF are ready to take Shambat Bridge and to reestablish their connection to the Al-Mohandiseen Base.
