Who am I and why do I cover Sudan?
My name is Maria, I'm from 🇦🇬, and I've been doing war analysis as a hobby since the start of the Ukraine war in February 2022. Predominently this was on my Instagram which has been deleted for posting too much war footage.
I've made this account February 2023 to post a few things about Ukraine that I was also posting on Instagram.
Around 1-2 weeks after the conflict in Sudan started, I started making maps of it because I felt there were already too many accounts covering Ukraine, whereas there were none covering Sudan. These are the first versions of my map:
There was never the intention to make the account go big, I simply did the mapping because I wanted to, and I will continue to do so, even after the Ukrainian counteroffensive starts (likely june23), and until the conflict in Sudan is over.
