Over this weekend, I developed a Figma plugin - Wireframe Designer. It uses the ChatGPT3.5 API to generate mobile wireframe designs.

The concept behind it is simple: (1/n)
1. Provide ChatGPT the context, available UI components and their attributes
2. Provide ChatGPT the design task
3. Let ChatGPT describe the design using the UI components available and parse it into a machine-readable format.
4. Draw the design in Figma as described (2/n)

In the current prompt, I only provided ChatGPT with 8 basic mobile components: top bar, tabs, bullet list, product showcase, image banner, text input, selection and button. With just 8 components, it can already generate very promising and relevant design mockups. (3/n)
The current designs are in wireframe style and universal, but the method can be easily applied on an existing design system with preset branding and visual styles. I did a demo using the current Daraz Design System at the end of the video. (4/n)
This demo plugin may just be a sneak peek of what’s possible in the near future. The possibilities are limitless.
