I am inclined to agree though. Even if we accept that the quran is in some sense strategically ecumenical (I find that quite compelling), accepting this new revelation of course necessarily requires Jews and especially Christians to disavow certain essential things

@RamonIHarvey @SinanovicErmin Which would lead them to technically no longer be Christian or Jewish by any definition that would be recognised by others of those fait communities.
One might imagine the Quran is indeed okay with "mu'minized jews/christians", which may have still identified themselves as such.
