1) It is publically known presales are one of the most profitable investments.
Those that fail to take profits however don't see any of this.
It feels illegal sharing this "presale profit taking strategy" 🧵👇
2) Lots of traders have seen their investments do well at one point whether it was a presale or normal market purchase.
Many have failed to turn this into realized profits however due to not taking profits.
There is no exact blueprint but there is a "general" framework I use.
3) Every presale is different due to the following factors:
• Is there a token lockup?
• How much is the multiplier?
• How promising is the long term outlook?
As such we have to slightly change and adapt our strategy but in general here's how you should start ↓
4) ⭐ Take your initial out
It's really not uncommon you see a multiplier on the first day it starts trading (released on exchanges).
As a general rule you want your initial investment out as quickly as possible.
Both for profitability and emotional decision making.
5) Doing this will ensure you have a free bag running and have your capital back for investing into the next opportunity.
Things start to change when the multiplier becomes higher than 5x.
The goal is to make money right?
⏩ Why stop at the initial investment then?
6) If you have invested 1000$ and your presale ends up doing a 5x from the start I'm making sure I'm taking my initial out and MORE.
I'm aiming for halve of that at least (2500$ out, 2500$ riding).
⏩ The numbers are an example. Same model when using 100$ or ...
7) ⭐ Taking everything out
Often I see a presale with a lot of hype and a huge amount of interest but weak project.
⏩ You can gauge interest by looking at community engagement (Twitter posts, telegram, discord,...)
I know the presale will do well but that's about it.
8) In this scenario I have no single interest in holding the token for the long term.
I'm purely participating for the presale only.
This means I'm ignoring my earlier model and just taking everything out the first chance I get.
9) A project with a lot of hype but a weak product will still do well.
It just won't last long.
As a general rule and I can't emphasize this enough:
"WE ARE INVESTORS AND NOT SPONSORS"
You recognize the opportunity that's in front of you but you won't be a supporter.
10) ⭐ Common sense rule
Remember when I said there's no exact blueprint?
The different profit-taking measures I just sumned up pretty much confirmed that.
There are a lot of variables at play and you want to take more/less profits depending on the multiplier you make.
11) Using your common sense will serve you well at this point.
My guide will take you far as a "common framework" but won't take you everywhere.
No matter what anyone tells you there is no "one size that fits all" strategy.
12) ⭐ Conclusion
Make sure to always take your initial investment out and leave a bag running.
If it's looks really bad you might want to exit completely.
Most importantly: Always adapt and use your common sense in any scenario.
Nova out ❤
