The 2022 World Cup is set up for Argentina exactly like how the 1998 World Cup was set up for France.

1998 World Cup
Brazil head into the World Cup as favorites, having an elite squad and winning the previous edition (1994).
FIFA didn't want Brazil to win their second consecutive title, so they had to come up with a plan to stop them.
They didn't want to make it obvious, so its not like they could've just rigged Brazil's games to knock them out early. That'd be too suspicious due to how strong their team was. So to make it as realistic as possible, they wanted Brazil to reach the final and then stop them there
1. Romario suddenly got 'injured' before the 1998 World Cup. One of their best players at the time. Funny enough, the Brazil coach later said Romario was dropped not because of injury, but because of 'bad attitude'.
Can you honestly believe this? Why the initial lie?
2. Brazil still went to the final because they were just too good.
3. R9 has 'epilipsia' hours before the final, something which he NEVER had before. He even said he felt unconscious minutes before the game.
This was prime R9 before that knee injury. He played a terrible game because of it. You can rewatch his highlights, he didn't look normal.
4. Brazil lost the final 3-0 to France.
It only took 2 key players, Romario and R9, to make Brazil lose the final because France already had a star studded team. They didn't need more of an advantage.
However in the 2022 World Cup, Argentina's team is not full of stars, and so its going to take a lot more than just 2 'injuries' and/or 'illnesses' to weaken France to the point where Argentina could beat them.
That's why there were so many french players injured before the World Cup (equivalent to Romario's injury), and why so many MORE players are getting injured/ill now just days before the final (equivalent to R9's illness).
So to summarize:
1. Brazil lost Romario before the WC started due to 'injury' then corrected to "bad attitude".
1* France lost Benzema, Kante, Pogba, Nkunku, Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez and Maignan before the WC even started. Benzema's dropping especially didn't make sense.
2. Brazil still went to the final because they were too good.
2* France still went to the final because they were too good.
3. R9 has 'epillipsia' hours before the final, and he was unconscious minutes before the game.
3* Varane, Konate, Tchouameni and Theo Hernandez have sudden 'injuries' and 'illnesses' 48h before the final.
(Will some of them have disasterclasses like R9 did? 🤔)
4. Brazil lost the final 3-0 (shocking result)
4* (Will France also lose in a shocking manner?)
Now lets put the known facts aside.
In my personal opinion, I believe that some Argentina players will be allowed to dope and get away with it. They won't get tested after the game, and even if they do, the results will stay hidden.
I also think France's defenders that have the 'flu' and are going to play through it (Varane and Konate) will drop disasterclasses because its impossible to play through a headache in a football match. Your awareness and reaction time will be a lot worse. Easy to concede goals.
They are doing everything in their power to make the World Cup seem as fair as possible while giving it to Argentina. I believe the bad refereeing throughout the tournament was intended, to dismiss accusations of referees favoring Argentina.
"Its equally bad everywhere = fair"
Its really pathetic. A disgrace. Should be up there with the 2002 World Cup as the worst one in history.

Here's Platini saying the 1998 World Cup was rigged for France. They organized a France-Brazil final then gave it to France.
Another fun fact:
Argentina have a team recording everything they do in and out of the changing rooms. They are literally preparing a documentary because they know the trophy prepared for them. This documentary will raise Messi's PR to a new height unseen before.
