Why Indian Women are Advised not to break the coconut ?
1. The coconut is considered as one of the most Sattvic fruit. It alone symbolizes ‘God’. In India, coconut plays as important role in all the pujas, festivals where coconut is offered as Prashad.

Breaking a coconut in-front of God is considered as auspicious.The water and white soft kernel inside the coconut are clean and unadulterated and remain safe and covered by hard outer coconut shell. So, nothing can be as purest as coconut to offer the God.
Women are not allowed to break d coconut anywhere. In Hindu religion, women are considered as Devi ‘Lakshmi’ of the family. So it is better for women not to involve in breaking and destroying (coconut) tasks. It is believed that breaking a coconut is a form of a sacrifice (बलि)
So, women should avoid doing this
