Last year, I was stuck at growing my Twitter audience.
• No job experience
• No credibility
• No followers
14 months later, I'm at 130K followers.
If I had to do it over again, here's my starting strategy:

If I had to do it over again, here's my starting strategy:
Step 1: Choose your niche
I will first look at my skills and interests then narrow down into a niche I'm comfortable to talk about.
You don't need to be an expert.
Educate yourself and learn in public.

Step 2: Optimize your profile
A good profile page builds credibility and stands out from the rest. Your profile pic, bio, and pinned tweet all matters.
The simplest advice is to make it clear.
e.g. A clear profile pic, and a bio that clearly defines your niche.

Step 3: Build a learning environment
• Create Twitter lists of top accounts in your niche
• Follow Twitter topics related to your niche
• Join Twitter communities related to your niche
We are what we consume.

Step 4: Attract others' audience
If you're starting from zero, start by getting the attention of others' audience.
Reply to tweets of bigger accounts at least 6 times every day.
e.g. summarize a thread, add more resources, provide different perspective

Step 5: Find what works
As you create more content, understand what works and what doesn't. Use analytics to study what drives profile visits, and what drives engagement.
e.g. add call to actions, use numbers, use visuals

Step 6: Create a content strategy
Creating content every day can be overwhelming. Planning out the topics/goal for every day of the week beforehand will help you product content faster.
e.g.
Mon: Topic A
Tue: Topic B
Wed: Inspiration from Account A
