Kachhwahas owned the property where Shah Jahan sought to build Taj Mahal.
The property formerly belonged to Man Singh & had come down to his grandson, Jai Singh.
Shah Jahan officially obtained this property from Jai Singh, by exchanging 4 other mansions from Agra crown estate.
