What to do with Dembele? 🤔
Barca bought Dembele for €140m back in the 17/18 season. Since then he has played approximately 28 games a year. He has missed 102 games & been injured for 695 days.
Barca had to let their best player ever go due to financial issues after Bartomeu was president. Players have to make sacrifices and reduce their salaries for this club to be able to make signings.
With a lot debt & COVID hurting the income, the salary cap is seven time lower than Real Madrid’s. In general it’s the clubs with the most money that is in the best position to compete. Real Madrid (first) & Sevilla (second) have the highest salary cap.
We have to keep players as well as we make signings to remain at the top, WHILE we gradually work to fix our economy.
Dembele allegedly demands a salary of €40m per year, as well as €20m for him and his agent to sign a new contract.

By presenting such demands Dembele shows no love, understanding or commitment to the club that stood by him through all his injuries.

If we were to go by the demands of Dembele we would trap ourselves. It would be nearly impossible to invest in other players. With Dembele’s injuries in the past giving him such a luxurious deal would be horrible.
So what do we do? Answer: Make an example out of him.
Barca is above any player and shouldn’t tolerate such behavior. Put him in the stands for the rest of the season.
