After the Taliban captured Kabul on August 15th, there were incidents where the republic flag was lowered & removed in many places. The next couple of days there were demonstrations in many cities in support of the republic flag (which the T Bquickly suppressed).

To the surprise of everyone it was in Khost province that a Taliban senior leader (Haqqani affiliate) went ahead & put the the republic flag in front of his car & ordered his men to tolerate the flag until the leadership decides on a new flag.

Southern Afghanistan did not tolerate the republic flag, neither did any other Taliban leader came forward to embrace the flag.

When Taliban toke over Kabul, there job was to secure Kabul but Khalil Haqqani the uncle of Siraj Haqqani was on a mission of his own.He went around meeting the leaders of the republic & conveying them the message that everyone was forgiven & assuring them about the amnesty,

…he even called the corrupt Gul Agha Sherzai “the Buldozer of the emirate.” He even called Taliban’s arch enemy Ahmad Shah Masood the “national hero of Afghanistan.” He was critisized by some Taliban for going too far,…

…they condemned him for embracing their opponent while the amnesty was only about letting them live in peace & giving them security not embracing them.

Saw a picture of @NaseebKhan321 Naseeb Khan formerly known as Naseeb Zadran, the CEO of Afghanistan Cricket Board & Mirwais Ashraf @MirwaisAshraf16 at the final of T20 cricket match between New Zealand & Australia.

The striking thing about them was that Naseeb Khan did not wear a hat or a turban (which all Taliban do), but what was more striking was the guy next to him, Mirwais Ashraf the Chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board, he was wearing a formal suit with a tie,…

…something very rare amongst the Taliban, in fact there is very little tolerance for that amongst them. But Naseeb Khan seemed happy to be with him in that attire.

Naseeb Khan is also (possibly the only) Taliban official who allows both flags (republic & emirates) on flagpoles in his meetings.
Asked a few people and turned out the Naseeb Khan is also a Haqqani affiliate.

There are also other rumours that the Haqqanis are more tolerant to girls education and women rights than some of the Kandahari Taliban.
So I will stand by my words and say that so far Haqqani network is the most tolerant group amongst Taliban militants.

Note:
The Haqqanis are more urbanised compared to most of the leadership that hails from the rural south.
The result: they generally have more tolerant social policies (relatively speaking).
