The CIA operated drones are constantly flying over Afghanistan. While the Taliban MoFA is busy convincing the International community to recognise the IEA, we are not seeing any concrete steps from Taliban leadership to prevent the US from ‘over the horizon’ operations.

Either they are given assurances from the Pakistan that they will not provide airspace or they just don’t recognise the severity of the crisis. By resolving the CT complications with the US, the IEA will be in a better position for recognition.

The IEA must understand that as long as the CT issues are not resolved, it will be very difficult for the world (US & EU) to recognise them. The US on the other hand should engage the IEA on CT issues, they should expect realistic cooperation from the IEA,

…something within their cultural & ideological redlines.
If the US decides to unilaterally (publicly) conduct over the horizon operations in Afghanistan, it may be able to damage some of the militant groups but over the long term,

…these strikes will be a major source of creating more militants, resulting in an unstable Afghanistan.
