On Page 73 of ‘Living an Era’, DP Mishra clearly mentions the involvement of Congressmen in the violence against the Maharashtrian Brahmin community.
He also adds that he was ‘pressurised’ to release more than a 100 Congressmen who were arrested by the Police.

But thanks to the INC, thousands of Mahrashtrian Brahmins were forced to desert their lands, homes and property to safer hideouts.

This was literally an attempt of ethnical cleansing.
And yes, the Indian National Congress was responsible for this. Congress can never wash this blood (of Brahmins) off its hands.
