Thread: Let's analyze the sources of "historian" Manoshi sinha on Ram pyari gujjar. In the book saffron sword she gave only 4 sources for whole ram pyari article. Lets analyze them one by one.
1. Nau Nihal Singh -Royal Gurjar, a literal no one, not a historian by any stretch.
Self published source of chest thumping for his own caste. More like jatland wiki. Anyone can write a book like this one for their communities and many did.
2. Second one is most insidious, on first look it looks like some angrez names "Russel and Ronald".
Some foreigner writing books solely on a character whose name was not mentioned even once by indian historian in any indian history books so far, right or left wing is suspicious to say the least. So I searched for it and say what, its not a real book
These kind of books are published by some publisher named Bookvika and all their books have same writer those named above. And guess what all their books are nothing but wikipedia article copied literally not a spelling mistake is changed or any content added at all.
So this second source of book is just wikipedia article, lol. And guess what that wikipedia article was itself based on a single source, surprise, surprise Nau Nihal Singh's Royal Gurjar book mentioned above. So its a circle. Funny thing is that wikipedia article on ram pyari
was deleted in 2015 and no longer exist because they considered Nau Nihal Singh's book a fake source. That was way before when wiki became battleground for ideology.
3. Now come to 3rd source Jat veero ka Itihas by Dalip Singh Ahlawat. Do I have to say more, isnt title and
writer's name is self explanatory. Its no different than Nau Nihal singh. That was gujjar and this one is jat history written by themselves about their community, again no historian at all.
4. Come to the last one, last source is a patrika article, really?
So Sinha read article on ram pyari gujjar in patrika newspaper by some intern and felt yeah, this is history. What is this some 4th class home work project.
Coming to the historical records, Timur maintained a memoir in which he wrote everything.
His march from multan to delhi and return is described vividly. His fight with rajput of Bhatner is mentioned, capturing delhi is mentioned, massacre of thousands hindu prisoners is mentioned but no mention is made of any ram pyari gurjar or any jograj singh. In fact he doesnt
mention any such fight with any coalition let alone such big army of Ram pyari mentioned by Sinha which she thinks was tens of thousands strong. No other source mention any thing. No secondary source, no modern historians mention any of these rubbish. There were many
nationalist historians but neither they mentioned anything of such sort because to mention these they need primary source which can't be created from thin air. It's sheer absurdity that we take works of Sinha to face value, who is also I believe student of literature not history.
Addendum: She also relied on guides at tourist sites for sources on this book. Do I have to say more. Why does right wing promote such second class work, it will only malign other right wing works which are more serious in nature.
