هي بكتيريا تسبب العدوى في مخلف الأماكن بالجسم مثل (الأنف- المنطقة الحساسة-الإبط- الجروح)
مايميز هذه البكتيريا انها مقاومة لمعظم المضادات الحيوية المستخدمة عادةً لذلك يصعُب عِلاجُها.

يمكن تمييز هذة البكتيريا (MRSA) بالمختبر عن طريق رزاعتها مع قرص الFOX (cefoxitin) على الMuller Hinton Agar

Today’s dose🥰🧪: (MRSA) or Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, is a bacterium that causes infections in different parts of the body (nasal, groin, axillary, wound) and its much harder to treat since it's resistant to some of the most commonly used antibiotics.
We can differentiate if S.aureus is a MRSA or not in the Lab, by culturing the colony on a muller hinton agar with a FOX disc (cefoxitin).
If its >= 22mm : sensitive
If its < 22 : resistant (MRSA)
If its >= 22mm : sensitive
If its < 22 : resistant (MRSA)
